The new residential building on Anna-Stockar-Weg is conceived as a balcony house set in a clearing above the lake. The wooden building opens itself on all sides onto a flower meadow, while glimpses of the lake and surrounding landscape appear between the trees.

The L-shaped living areas offer varying light conditions throughout the day. The generous spaces allow for a flexible arrangement of the living and dining areas. Some bedrooms are directly connected to the living room and accessible from it. The bathrooms are sunlit wintergardens.

The house is built as a sustainable hybrid construction of timber and concrete. Its structure consists of exposed board ceilings, hidden steel supports, and solid concrete cores. The façade, composed of coloured photovoltaic elements, evokes the image of a bird’s feathered coat.

The existing character of the garden is preserved and enhanced. Perennials grow and bloom beneath the trees. The basement entrance is discreetly placed to harmonize with the idyllic surroundings. Amidst foliage and perennials, one has the feeling of living among the treetops.
